Sweets are bitter

I have a friend. Though I have many friends, but this guy is a bit different. Everything in this world for him is screwed up and every one else is a moron. I have known him for a couple of years now, but things haven’t changed much in all these years.
Everything that any one else is doing is either of no use, or if it is, my friend has already done it, so others are just following him. It has come to point where people are scared to even exchange some information with him because they know the response is any ways going to be negative and sarcastic. I am sure he's not one of the kinds in this world but surely only one that I know.

This incident happened a few days back.
One of our friend had been to his home and when he returned he bought some home made sweets. As being in the same team, we all gathered around to have the taste of it. Now the friend of me came and had a look at the sweets. "It does not look good, I won’t have it" saying so he went back to his cubical.
I thought it was the worst reaction that I had ever heard. Probably his mom would have stayed whole day in kitchen to make sure it is perfect and in enough quantity to be shared among all. More than anything else it was shock that he opened his mouth in public that too for a thing which he would probably not make in his whole life time, and surely would never be able to also.
The sweets in real were truly out of the world and the best I had tasted in recent time.
The whole incident left me thinking about my friend and what lead to his reactions like that.

Sometimes we build up so much negativity around us that we stop to enjoy small things in life and keep cribbing about every thing possible. The reason could be anything, but it does not give any right to criticize someone else's hard work and sincerity. A person does not posses right to criticize something unless he knows how to appreciate. If everything around in world starts to look negative, the problem is not in the things around, but in the way we have started looking at them. These negative actions build up to become our habit and then grow on to become our attitude. It grows to an extent where they become a part of us. This negativity changes our taste to an extent that even when sweets come in our way we find them bitter.

Life - Isn't it Ironic

Ironic you may call it or call it life but that’s the naked truth about our whole existence. It’s like you want something dearly, you do everything possible to get it, you or on the road to achieve it and suddenly you realize its evening by the time you reach it or if worse you don’t even reach. What ever it be but that’s sometimes seems to be the underline basic principle of life - Get Lucky or die trying.

The road to success or happiness is not easy and god takes lot of tests to make sure who reaches there is a polished stone. We all know this and we all understand. And what we also know is that life is full of coincidences sometimes favorable and most of the time not so. So hold your nerve and don’t break down under pressure is what we are taught from childhood.
But at the end of the day we are humans, and showing emotions is what separates us from animals. It would be completely superficial to believe that someone faced failure and he did not feel low and never thought about it.
Probably feeling low and finding comfort is the one most important thing. We all try to seek comfort in something or the other may be in our parents or friends and some try to seek it inside themselves. Because it is this comfort that gives us power, that gives you energy to fight back. It is this comfort that reignites the fire within you to wake up again and try again much harder. The motivation to start again could be found in anything some got it by looking at the rising sun, some at a spider weaving the web. But the motivation has to come back. Fighting back from a loss is another trait that makes us man.
Something may have gone wrong and you could not achieve it at that time. This could be one of the ways of god saying probably this is not the right time. Some may say it’s more of consoling to ourselves. True may be but then that’s where some may find his comfort. Looking at the brighter side or trying to find a black box after a crash is not wrong. It is important to understand where we went wrong and taking it as a lesson to begin intelligently the next time.
If the flow is in the opposite direction we need muscles to stay strong and firm. How long we can hold is the test of our endurance, patience and will. One can easily turn around and just flow, but the day when the storm will stop, air will be the cleanest. A fighter can only be judged best when he is loosing. The loss always brings out the best in a person and shows the character and metal what he is made off. No one has lost trying, it’s only when they give it up.
May be loosing and gaining, feeling low and high is the way world has been created. Without these ups and downs life would be just as static as a stone. There would be no room for emotions and everyone would just swim like a fish with no feelings.
Or may be life is all about living that one happy day and fighting the next ten. But whatever we do we have to live up each moment as we pass it. One way to live up is to take life as an experience to look back upon and live in cheer, laugh on irony, find the match box light the fire put the armor and fight again. Or best, feel unlucky and die cribbing.

Can't forget Alanis Morissette over here:
"Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everythings okay and everythings going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everythings gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face
Isn't it Ironic"

[Why I wrote this.. probably I am trying to find my own comfort zone and bravery even after being out of range.]

World does need a Superman

30-06-2006 Superman Returns to the screen and I jumped on the opportunity to see it the same day. Pretty neat effects I would say. But the thing that caught my attention were the lines 'World does not need a Superman' and 'World does need a Superman'.

Who symbolizes to be a Superman? A super human having extra-terrestrial powers, is strong both physically and mentally, courageous, strong will and determination to stop the evil. He rises to the occasion when required the most. And off course he wears a tight suit and has a hair style which never gets out off place even if he flies at the speed of light!!!

We see people around us who we say and idolize as super-humans, they may not possess extra-terrestrial powers but they have got all the other traits that superman has. History and present is full of example of people who have proved them selves to be super-humans showing great grit and commitment, strong will and determination to achieve unthinkable.

People like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Teresa have shown great leadership qualities, high values and principals. There lives have moved and changed lives of billions of people.
In the field of art and music people like Leonardo da Vinci, Mozart, Beethoven who despite being hearing impaired wrote the world’s best symphonies. Shakespeare’s writing and plays still stand unparallel from ages. These people have shown dedication and persistence to achieve greatness in their respective field.

In the more present scenario we look around the corporate world we see and hear more super human stories all around. Michael Dell started what is know as 'Americas most admired company' in his hostel room. Lakshmi Mittal born in a very modest family in India is now termed as the 'Steel King'. Steve Job's rise to the glory is nothing less than a super human effort. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet transition to world's richest man is the proof that nothing is impossible if you have strong will to achieve your aim.

Every one has its own different success story, but all have few thing in common; strong faith in themselves, dedication to their work, zeal to go extra mile when it requires, never stopping and never getting tired, keeping the motivation and fire on to achieve what they dreamt off. Fearless of failure and ready to pounce back strongly when faced one.

All these qualities make them special, make them super humans. And world does need these super humans to remind us that superman did not come from a far galaxy but is one of us, there's one inside every one of us.
